A CORRECT Montante
You make two “colossal” weapons but neither are a true Montante, which SHOULD have a Blade/hilt ratio of 3/1. For example, if the overall length of the weapon is 180cm, the blade is 135cm and the grip (quillon to pommel) is 45cm.
This long grip is CRITICAL to allow the blade to be manoevered to full advantage.
Blade should be straight, NOT the Flamberge style.
Lastly, a real effort is needed to make the point ROBUST AND SAFE FOR STABBING, with a proper plug within the foam, even if the point is not very “pointy” in appearance.
I make this last point (pun intended) because my Colossal Highlander is NOT stab-safe according to our local LARP Marshals. A proper Montante MUST be “thrustable” to get the weapon’s full advantage.
Please, everyone, vote yes for this.
